Wedding Day Emergency Kit

A wedding day emergency kit was one of those things that I knew I should have, but didn’t figure I would need. Uh, am I really going to need safety pins, chalk, and hem tape? Well no, but I did end up needing a couple of things from my kit.

Wedding Day Emergency Kit

Here’s what I had in my emergency kit:

  • Safety Pins
  • Bobby Pins
  • Mini First Aid – Cynthia Rowley Band-aids, Pain Reliever, Sanitizing Wipes, Gauze
  • Mini Lint Roller
  • Nail File
  • Clear Nail Polish
  • Needle & Thread
  • Tissues
  • Shout Wipes
  • Q-Tips
  • Mini Make-up Brushes
  • Lotion
  • Lipstick & Perfume
  • Tampon
  • Fashion Tape
  • Hair Tie

Here’s what I actually needed:

  • Bobby Pins – My veil just did not want to stay put.
  • Pain Reliever – For the end of the night.
  • Nail File – For the Bridesmaids.
  • Lipstick & Perfume

Yeah, that’s it. I mean, I guess I’m glad I didn’t need anything else. The funny thing is I brought the emergency kit along on my honeymoon and needed almost everything! That’s what brides should really be worried about – a honeymoon emergency kit! So there it is, my wedding words of wisdom, save the band-aids for your honeymoon. You might just gash your leg on an antique table the last day. It happens, my friend.

In all honesty, the bottom of my dress was black and the back of it was ripped by the end of the night. Yeah, I wore the heck of that thing and you know what? I’m really glad I didn’t waste my evening worrying about chalking, shout wiping, and sewing my dress back together. I was too busy getting married and enjoying time with all of my favorite people. I’m sure you will feel the same.
