Well, it’s been a while. I’ve been a little bit busy getting married and all the fun that goes along with it! So here it is, I’m kicking off the wedding posts. There are many more to come, but I figured it made sense to start off with the first event – my beautiful bridal shower.
My wonderful mother and maid of honor threw me an amazingly beautiful, elegant, and fun bridal shower along with the rest of my bridesmaids. They surprised me just a few days before the shower with the news that my shower would be at Blu, one of my favorite spots in Milwaukee. It was an afternoon tea party with scones, tea sandwiches, mini desserts, fruit and more, along with tea of course (and mimosas!). It was a small group of about 15 people. Just some family and close friends. The way I like it! My mom filled the room with fresh flowers from the farmer’s market and my maid of honor, Margo, even made a perfect custom playlist. It was just what I always imagined – a beautiful afternoon surrounded by my favorite ladies. I can’t thank my mom and friends enough!
Margo putting the finishing touches on the favors. A stamped box of lemon heads & homemade earl grey tea soap in an adorable muslin bag as well as homemade tea cup candles!
Presents! And an adorable banner that Margo and I put together with some rope, cardboard, fabric, and a whole lotta spray glue.
The tea candles!
Farmers market flowers.
Our gorgeous view from Blu.
Couches and chairs were arranged in clusters with a favor at each place setting.
Me with Bryce’s aunt & cousin.
This was the first time I got to see two of my bridesmaids in years!
Margo making her welcome speech.
Carol at the tea station!
I broke 2 ribbons – that’s my maximum number of children! Unfortunately, I did have the “multiples” curse put upon me by two people! Mean!
Beautiful custom made lazy susan by Kim Magee at Fauxfilled Finishes.
Yummy, yummy food. My favorite were the scones with mascarpone & lemon curd. (We ate the leftovers at my bachelorette party later that night!)
Thanks for hosting mom! You’re the best.
